Several studies have shown that some physical filters, in particular chemical ones such as Benzophenone-3 and Ethylhe xyl methoxycinnamate damage irreparably the coral preventing its growth and causing its whitening.
A curious thing is that since May 1, 2018, Hawaii has approved a bill that prohibits the sale and distribution of sunscreens containing these two ingredients.
Cosmetic companies are increasingly moving towards the concept of clean beauty and are moving towards eco-sustainable formulations and packaging, respecting more and more people as well as also the environment that surrounds us.
BABY SOLAR FORMULATIONS
Children's skin is different from that of adults and deserves some more attention especially because compared to adults, children are much more susceptible to the consequences of photo-exposure.
Specific baby products are usually pastes and thick creams which are more protective, low in additives and fragrance-free.
The ingredients recommended in the formulations of baby sunscreens are moisturizing and soothing such as Panthenol, l'allantoina , aloe and vitamins.
It is always better to prefer physical mineral filters to chemical filters.
The formulations must be delicate and well tolerated by young skin, well resistant to water and have high or very high protection.
