Today is Christmas Eve, one of my favorite days of the year. December 24th marks the beginning of the true Christmas celebrations where the key words'are fairy lights, garlands, family, gifts, food and relaxation.
The Christmas holidays are a great time to dedicate some time to yourself and to recover some beauty activities neglected in the frenzy of the working period.
Here are some recipes for you homemade masks to make while resting on the sofa, with the lit tree behind you and a good film on tv.
AVOCADO MASK FOR SUPER DRY SKIN
Required: avocado and olive oil
Time: 20 minutes
If you have very dry skin, especially during the winter months, this is your mask.
The lipid fraction contained in avocado pulp is a panacea for restoring your hydrolipidic film damaged by external conditions or periods of severe stress!
Just take a ripe avocado and mash it with a fork until you get a homogenous cream to which you can add a teaspoon of olive oil. Spread it on your face with your fingers or a brush and leave it on for at least 20 minutes.
EXFOLIATING COFFEE SCRUB
Required: coffee grounds and honey
Time: 20 minutes
If your skin is dull or you feel the need for a deep cleansing action, you can try thiscoffee scrub.
It's very simple: just set aside the coffee grounds left over from the morning and mix them with a spoonful of honey, which has an emollient action, until they become a homogeneous mixture. At this point, rub the mixture on your face paying particular attention to the T area (chin, nose and central forehead).
The result will be brighter skin ready to receive all the nutrients of your serum or moisturizing face cream.
PURIFYING CUCUMBER MASK
Required: cucumber, lemon, yogurt
Time: 20 minutes
Cucumber is known for its astringent and purifying properties, perfect for impure skin. In this "recipe" we will use it together with a few drops of lemon with an antimicrobial and astringent action and a few spoonfuls of yogurt with a soothing and emollient action, just be too aggressive on the skin.
Just blend a cucumber, with the skin on, and add a few spoonfuls of yoghurt and a few drops of lemon, leave it to act for about twenty minutes and then rinse.
If you want an even more refreshing effect you can also add a few leaves of mint blending it together with the cucumber!
The result will be purified and decongested skin.
BRIGHTENING HONEY AND LEMON MASK
Required: honey, lemon
Time: 20 minutes
This is my favorite mask! Very easy to make and suitable for illuminating the complexion: in a bowl, just mix two tablespoons of honey, very emollient and with a nourishing effect, with a few drops of
SOOTHING POTATO MASK
Equivalent: potato, chamomile
Time: 20 minutes
If you see red, dry and itchy skin perhaps this mask is the one for you.
Crush a potato, which thanks to its high content of starch is perfect for unbalanced skin, and then mix it with a few drops of chamomile infusion. Get a homogeneous mixture and let it act on the skin for at least 20 minutes.
DIY MASK PASSE-PARTOUT
Required: rice starch, yogurt, honey, essential oil
Time: 20 minutes
In a bowl, combine rice starch and a few spoonfuls of yogurt and a spoonful of honey. Add a few drops (one or two are enough, never exaggerate with essential oils on the skin) of an essential oil that you have at home according to your needs: chamomile and lavender for soothe - mint to refresh - fir, rosemary, tea tree to purify and purify.
In this way you will have a base mask that is excellent for all skin types which will then be characterized with the functionality of the essential oil according to your needs.
